Job Description

A Four-Star Hotel in the Upper West Region is looking for a Night Auditor to support the front desk and perform clerical night duties, full-time.

We need a responsible individual to assist guests with their overnight requests, balance accounts from the day shift, handle guest requests, manage reservations, and process invoices. The perfect candidate must be able to provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.

Our night auditor should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking, flexibility and stress management skills are essential for this position.

Include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and make guests feel welcome guests as soon as they arrive at Reception
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person, department or area
  • Answer all phone calls, emails and Whatsapps
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and up-to-date information in-person or via phone/email/Whatsapp
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Code room keys, and prepare registration cards
  • Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
  • Manage transactions for guests settling accounts
  • Check guests in and show them to their rooms
  • Ensure that they are aware of how all items and equipment in their room operate


  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Night Auditor, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • General computer literacy
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. printers, cell phones, POS machines)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong customer service orientation


  • At least 5 years’ experience as a receptionist or night auditor at a large hotel, or similar position


  • High school diploma
  • Basic math and computer literacy
  • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be an advantage
  • Additional certification in Office Management is a plus
