Our client, a catering company that provides food services at remote sites for reputable organizations, is looking to hire a driver who will be responsible for safely transporting food, equipment, and supplies to various events and venues, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

The ideal candidate will report to the Director and also assist with loading and unloading, setting up catering equipment, and providing excellent customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery:Transporting food, beverages, and catering equipment to designated locations according to schedule.
• Loading/Unloading:Safely loading and unloading catering supplies, ensuring items are secured for transport.
• Set-up/Clean-up:Assisting with setting up catering equipment at venues/events and with the clean-up process, including returning items to the catering facility.
• Vehicle Maintenance:Performing regular vehicle checks, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any issues.
• Customer Service:Professionally interacting with clients and customers.
• Route Management:Utilizing GPS and following assigned routes efficiently.
• Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents.
• Adherence to Safety:Following all traffic laws and safety procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is essential.
• Proven experience in driving vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Ability to interact with clients professionally and handle inquiries.
• Ability to lift and carry catering equipment and supplies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as and when needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Ensuring accuracy in deliveries and maintaining proper records.
