We are building a Talent Pipeline for Logistics Team members.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of goods. You will oversee and liaise with colleagues to ensure stock is maintained and moved efficiently.

  • Track queues and backlogs
  • Monitor operations quality
  • Monitor network dispatch operations and manage the team
  • Coordinate capacity and frequency with dispatch agents and 3PL
  • Train teams and solve issues
  • Implement scalable processes to sustain the growth
  • Lead continuous improvement projects
  • Might require frequent travel within regions
  • Challenging established processes and implementing new processes to adapt to the fast growth of Jumia Supply Chain clients
  • Managing relationships with clients and partners (Third party logistics partners)

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel to create macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, analytical capabilities and work books.
  • Relevant professional certification in Logistics or supply chain management will be an added advantage
  • 8 years minimum experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment with a strong focus on logistics or alternatives logistics company
  • Ability to lead large and remote teams
  • Hardworking, result oriented, methodical, very structured
  • Pro-active, both autonomous and team player, Flexible
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate in flawless English
  • Demonstrated competency in data reporting and analysis
  • Experience or high level of comfort in logistics operations
  • Familiarity with working in a culturally diverse environment
  • Excellent People, Problem-solving, Negotiation, Time management and Coordination skills.
  • Self-Driven and great independent follow-through Ability
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership, and drive
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
