COMPANY PROFILE
Blue-Grey Aqua Technology (BGAT) is a privately-owned Ghanaian establishment registered in 2018 as a limited liability company. It is a developer as well as an operator of an innovative potable water treatment system.
The journey of BGAT was inspired by threats posed to traditional treatment plants across the country by frequent system breakdown of its several moving parts, and its associated supply chain challenges for spare parts, hindering service quality and reliability.
BGAT sets out to transform water treatment landscape in Ghana and Africa with cutting-edge innovations in water treatment by developing a robust and efficient water treatment systems. One such facility being operated in Afuaman in the Ga West Municipal Assembly.
BGAT seeks to improve community access to clean water complying with all service level standards, decreasing water-borne diseases in served communities, and supporting local economic growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
The Sales & Commercial Lead will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and business development initiatives. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, optimizing commercialization efforts, and fostering strong relationships with communities, customers, and stakeholders. The individual will analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and implement marketing and promotional activities to maximize sales performance.
Additionally, he/she will play a key role in reporting sales data, advising management on commercial viability, and ensuring sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
Sales and Reporting
1. Develop a sales strategy to achieve BGAT’s goals on revenue and profitability.
2. Implement plans and activities in line with set strategies.
3. Forecast and set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets revenue and generate timely sales reports.
4. Analyze sales data and generate relevant monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for assessing sales performances and for key decision making.
Engagements and Business Development
5. Engage communities/individuals (for private connections), assess viability and advise management on doing business in the selected community and/or with an individual.
6. Develop a sales process for all commercialization efforts from acquisition to customer retention.
7. Identify business opportunities that the company can embark on to increase profitability and advise management on it.
8. Support with sales presentations and proposals developments.
9. Carry out community level engagements, meetings and trainings for sales presentations and relationship building.
Marketing, Research & Promotional activity
10. Identify, develop, and implement appropriate marketing tool and promotional activities to increase water sales.
11. Lead community-based research that leads to better understanding of communities and customers.
12. Commission customer surveys to establish data for service improvement.
Other Duties
13. Collaborate with management to refine commercialization strategies and ensure business success
14. Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management.
KEY EXPECTED RESULTS
1. Revenue generation and market penetration: Formulate and implement sales and business development strategies aimed at increasing revenue streams, expanding client base, and enhancing overall market share within target sectors.
2. Business opportunity optimization: Apply entrepreneurial orientation to identify and exploit high-margin commercial opportunities, drive customer value creation, and support sustainable business growth initiatives.
3. Strategic planning and project management: Utilize advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to design, coordinate, and manage complex, multi-phase commercial projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
4. High-impact decision making under constraints: Assess operational variables and make timely, data-driven decisions under pressure, thereby minimizing risk exposure and enhancing execution efficiency.
5. Stakeholder communication and relationship management: Execute high-level written and oral communication to develop technical proposals, engage with clients and subcontractors, and maintain productive relationships with community stakeholders and strategic partners.
6. Technical sales competence: Apply knowledge of community-based sales techniques, blueprint interpretation, and technical product specifications to support consultative selling and tailored client solutions.
7. Operational efficiency and deadline adherence: Effectively manage time and prioritize task to ensure timely completion of deliverables, compliance with project schedules, and uninterrupted workflow.
8. Advanced Digital Reporting and Analysis: Proficiently use Microsoft Excel and Word for data modeling, quantitative analysis, and generation of professional-grade reports to support performance monitoring and decision-making processes.
REPORTING
The Sales and Commercial Lead will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum qualification of first degree in sales, marketing, logistics and operations, community development or other related fields.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a sales-related role required.
• Experience working in water sector will be an advantage
