Job Description
Miro Forestry Ghana Limited is a sustainable forestry plantation developer and manufacturer of timber products. The company has its offices located at Drobonso, sekyere Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, with plantations near Agogo and Mampong. We are currently seeking: Workshop Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Service and repair labour trucks
• Service and repair tractors and heavy equipment i.e dozers, graders, etc
• Service and repair of staff vehicles i.e pick-ups
• Control of work allocation and subordinates
• Workshop housekeeping
• Workshop equipment and tools control
• Report problems and incidents concerning vehicles and equipment to Technical manager/senior silviculture forester/general manager
• Safety of workshop staff and safe working conditions
Qualification Required & Experience
• Polytechnic certificate in mechanical or motor engineering or equivalent computer knowledge i.e Microsoft Office, etc
Experience
• At least 5 years experience in the repair and servicing of heavy equipment and vehicles
• Experience in workshop supervision and service scheduling and maintenance records
Personal qualities and competencies
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and rectify
• Deliver to supervise, motivate and control subordinates
• Perform records management
• Work independently in the absence of supervision
• Respond to requests and inquiries from drivers / operators and line management effectively and timeously
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Understand occupational health, safety and environmental issues
