Join our Services EMEA team as a Workshop Manager to help us take our business operations the next level.

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • Manage workshop facilities and infrastructure to ensure that all premises comply with prevailing legislation and that the building fabric is maintained in good order or modified/developed as necessary.
  • Manage the Operations team and co-ordinate tasking to meet the key performance metrics identified in the Annual Business Plan.
  • Establish performance objectives and appropriate measures for all workshop staff which align with overall business objectives e.g. Utilization, Tender Cycle Time, Monthly output expectations, task completion targets and quality.
  • Liaise regularly with the MD, HSEQ (SPUK or other appointed assistance) to ensure that any hazards within workshop are appropriately identified and mitigated with business operations conducted in a safe manner.
  • Act as the ultimate owner of all Workshop Procedures ensuring that these are reviewed and remain relevant for day-to-day workshop operations and training requirements.
  • Manage workshop facilities and infrastructure to ensure that all premises comply with prevailing legislation and that the building fabric is maintained in good order or modified/developed as necessary.
  • Identify areas of improvement to reduce the cost to the company whilst maintaining quality of service and product.
  • Support the company in its drive to create a safer, higher quality, more productive working environment.
  • Ensure that Safe Systems of Work are developed and implemented for all activities, through adequate Risk Assessment and Operating Procedures

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills
  • Good technical knowledge of rotating machinery & systems
  • HNC or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline
  • Trained in departmental management practices
