We are looking for a skilled waiter/waitress who will uplift the dining experience of our customers through their attention to detail and attentiveness.

The right person for this position needs to have the personality, patience and perseverance to thrive in this role. They need to be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with the Kitchen to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly. They need to pick up on issues that guests may have promptly; and should they not be able to solve it; bring it under the attention of their supervisor.

Keep in mind that Waiter/Waitress duties require working shifts and during weekends and holidays.

Ultimately, it is the duty of our Waiters/Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience to our guests.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Include but are not limited to:

• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Inform customers about the day’s specials
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drinks according to orders placed
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Follow all relevant health department regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to guests
• Resolve issues as soon as possible

EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress in a reputable hotel, or similar position

EDUCATION

• High school diploma
• Basic math and computer skills
• Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Basic math and computer
