Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives seeks to invite applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the above-mentioned vacancy: Vice Rector, Mental Health Nursing

Job Purpose

• To assist the Rector in performing leadership functions and oversee academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division to ensure effective and efficient operations

Job Summary

• Assist the Rector to perform leadership functions adn oversee the day-to-day running of the academic and administrative activities of the Mental Health Nursing Division
• Lead in developing and implementing administrative and academic policies of the Mental Health Nursing Division
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities in the division
• Provide exemplary leadership for the achievement of the objectives of the division
• Ensure the maintenance and sustenance of academic and professional standards
• Provides direction on academic, research and operational policies of the division
• Ensure the development of the capabilities, skills and knowledge of staff in division
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Rector

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must have:

• A master’s degree in mental health nursing or an equivalent discipline
• A professional mental health nurse or an equivalent professional discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in public service of which 7 years have been acquired at a senior management level
• A fellow of GCNM and
• Experience using a variety of computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
