ROLE SUMMARY

The Transport Manager will plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the efficient operations of all transportation and transport-related activities of the resort.

The role includes transport coordination and administration, preventive maintenance, and the acquisition and management of drivers and vehicles. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, working closely with other managers to ensure customer expectations are met, operational costs are controlled, vehicles are properly maintained, and transport services consistently meet the resort’s standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling and dispatch.
• Tracking fuel usage, mileage, and operational costs.
• Developing systems to administer and monitor compliance with all regulations governing the use of company vehicles.
• Supervising transport staff in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Establishing policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Transport Department.
• Developing systems that support the values, vision, and mission of the resort while enhancing staff and guest experiences.
• Maintaining effective communication systems with drivers and transport personnel.
• Ensuring drivers perform assigned duties effectively and professionally.
• Monitoring the validity of driver licenses, vehicle permits, registrations, and insurance documentation.
• Tracking vehicle movements, travel distances, and daily usage records.
• Monitoring fuel consumption and vehicle-related expenses, maintaining records and supporting documentation.
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transport operations and vehicle activities.
• Ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and roadworthiness of all company vehicles.
• Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles.
• Ensuring all vehicles remain in excellent operating condition at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must possess:

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of electric vehicles and electric carts.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• Specialized training in Transport Management Systems (advantageous).
• Good knowledge of transport tracking software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
