The Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening under Ghana Coalition of NGOs in Health (GCNH) as a potential Sub-recipient (SR) with the Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service/ National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NACP) as the Principal Recipient is soliciting applications from suitable and highly qualified individuals to fill the following position: Technical Officer

The post holders will be responsible for the implementation of the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH.

Please note that this recruitment is contingent upon the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as SR.

Position detail

Title: Technical Officer

Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH

Duty station:  Accra

Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability

Supervisor: Team Lead/Senior Technical Advisor   Reports to: Team Lead

Responsibilities for the Technical Officer

  • Ensure that project activities are implemented according to the agreed work plan/timeline and sort out if any changes are needed in the due course of the grant cycle.
  • Ensure that all information related to the CSS grants (operational, finance, and logistical) are available as required.
  • To ensure that project reports are compiled and submitted on time.
  • Ensure timely quality reporting of field activities to the Senior Technical Advisor for further review and submission to national program, CCM, and Global Fund.
  • Liaise closely with the M&E officer to ensure that data efficient systems are in place for real time data collection, data cleaning and reporting.
  • Ensure that all work-related items such as PPEs are fairly allocated to cadres
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Teamwork skills: Proven ability to operate effectively across organizational boundaries; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural, multiethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.  Client orientation: Ability to identify clients’ needs and suggest appropriate solutions; ability to establish and maintain productive partnerships with clients.

Planning and Organizing: Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies; ability to foresee risks and allow for contingencies when planning; and, ability to identify priority activities and adjust them as required.
