All employees within the Project Execution

LOCATION

Accra, Airport Residential Area

TRAVEL

Mostly resident in the Greater Accra Region but will require some domestic and international travels.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Lead and organize the Biomedical Engineering Team.
  • Maintain collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel.
  • Be up to date with regards to technical trends and regulatory guidelines; which may influence assigned functions/services.
  • Monitor compliance with legal requirements.
  • Quality Management of Biomedical Engineering.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide advisory and assistance in equipping health facilities with biomedical equipment taking into account the different departments involved.
  • Develop business plans, project budgets, staffing requirements and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  • Manage, evaluate and monitor projects according to business plans.
  • Benchmark and plan investments and reinvestment of biomedical systems and devices taking into account their life cycles.
  • Manage the overall working of the field of expertise and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Any other official responsibilities as may be assigned to you.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in biomedical project management.
  • Experience in process management certificate will be an advantage (lean, six sigma, etc.)
  • At least 8 years in in the biomedical engineering field.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and at least 2 years in leadership/supervisory role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & BEHAVIOUR

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of CAFM (CMMS) software or its equivalent and database management software.
  • MS-Office proficient.
  • Excellent English language skills, other languages will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fit to work for tropical countries (certificates to proof)

SKILLS:

  • Creativity: Ability to come up with creative solutions
  • Visualization: Ability to see, in one’s mind’s eye, what project structures will look like once they are complete.
  • Verbal Communication: Ability to describe ideas to our clients and work colleagues.
  • Active Listening: Ability to clearly communicate information to others and understand what others are sharing with you.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify and solve problems to keep the projects moving forward.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate possible solutions before choosing the most efficient one.
