Job Purpose

• Supporting the risk assessment of IT general controls (ITGC) to ensure compliance with internal procedures, relevant standards and regulations within the organization

Key Responsibilities

• The IT auditor shall be responsible for performing Cyber and information security auditing
• The IT auditor shall review the institution’s survivability, backup and recovery processes at least once a year
• Audit findings on cyber and information security risks shall be reported to the Head of Internal Audit
• The IT auditor shall be responsible for performing a follow-up process for tracking and monitoring cyber and information security audit issues and an escalation mechanism to notify the Head of Internal Audit
• Perform IT risk assessment for the institution and make available information that suggests a vulnerability or breach
• Review technological projects and implementation to identify potential vulnerabilities, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and advise management on risk mitigation strategies and make recommendations
• Managing the internal audit tool including creating audit plans on the software, approving audit schedules, reviewing processes and controls audited branch audit personnel’s etc
• Any other role which will be deemed necessary to ensure business efficacy

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field
• Master’s degree will be a plus
• ISO/IEC 27001 lead auditor is an added advantage
• Relevant IT Audit Professional Certifications
