Your Impact

  • To supervise and coordinate the work completed by Process Plant Mechanical Technicians to ensure that production plans are realized.

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

  • Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility (HSESR) standards.
  • Manage and coordinate daily corrective actions, conduct shift handovers, and support effective communication between teams.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies based on Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to maximize equipment availability and performance.
  • Oversee part requisitions and purchases; work with procurement and stores to ensure timely availability of required maintenance items.
  • Assist with forecasting maintenance operating costs, preparing budgets, and generating monthly reports. Organize, allocate, and supervise mechanical work across all process plant areas (Crushing, Grinding, CIL, Elution, CCD, WSF, TSF, and Workshop).
  • Provide technical guidance during major repairs and troubleshooting activities; perform mechanical and structural calculations when required.
  • Work with Operations Supervisors, Planners, and Technicians to prioritize maintenance work and minimize production downtime.
  • Support the creation and review of maintenance Standard Task Procedures (STPs); ensure compliance with departmental policies.
  • Supervise mechanical maintenance personnel, promoting safe work practices and high performance across the team.

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist

Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):

  • Qualified HND Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance environment within a mining process plant or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 – 4 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, managing large and diverse teams.

Additional Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Inspection Engineering certification from Mincom is an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance principles and industry standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical instrumentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of the work management process.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling.
  • Strong working knowledge in maintenance of Jaw Crushers, Grinding mill equipment and Agitators, conveyors and it accessories, maintenance of large slurry pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge in SAP.

  • Advanced communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), MS Project and SAP.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills (RCFA and FMEA).
