Your Impact

  • Adapt and monitor compensation programs, analyze market trends, collaborate on research and administration, conduct surveys, assess salary changes, facilitate evaluations, manage compensation tools, maintain records, and serve as the primary contact for labor cost calculations.

As Part Of Our Team You Will

  • Implement Focal Review Compensation Programs.
  • Monitor compensation market trends, analyze salary survey results and recommend overall salary increases, merit, equity and promotion and salary structure movements, if necessary, based on the market activities, inflation or devaluation, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Collaborate in the research, development and administration of assigned compensation programs and monitor the success of these programs.
  • Conduct and finalize salary market surveys, continually review and adjust survey matches.
  • Assess changes in salaries or salary grades that deviate from policy or job structure and deliver findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Facilitate position evaluation process, in conjunction with Compensation Guide to conduct job evaluations using the job evaluation point factor system HAY methodology and market pricing, coordinate the positions technically within the hierarchy.
  • Site Super User SSU for Compensation Planning Tool CPT including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing UAT, plan validation, data validation, data mapping exercises, guide self-service MSS training, functional application reviews, calculations, produce, compile reports, and others.
  • Maintain and handle position description and job evaluation records assigning global job codes to newly created and analyzed positions.
  • Coordinate point of contact for corporate labor cost calculation.

Your Training, Skills & Experience Checklist

Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance/ Economics / Mathematics / Statistics/ Human Resources Management.
  • Professional HR Certification (Not mandatory).

Additional Knowledge

  • Applicable laws and regulations related to compensation, benefits and tax.
  • Knowledge of external labour markets and / or economics factors.
  • General Human Resources knowledge.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years directly related to total rewards.
  • Strong preference for background in mining, energy or construction.

Problem Solving Ability

  • Works in established systems and processes.
  • Compares data collected from processes with a known model or system.
  • Imagines how tasks might be completed without direct, physical, and hands-on feedback.
  • Solves problems where trial & error may not be sufficient; other methods may be required.
  • Extrapolates patterns to make predictions.
  • Improves work methods using significant data and patterns; determines whether a diagnosis is correct or whether it may occur from another pattern.

Technical Skills

  • Excellent compensation analysis, market trend monitoring, and job evaluation methodologies.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency in total rewards.
  • Identify practical application proficiency in compensation planning tools and job evaluation systems (e.g., HAY methodology).
  • Familiarity with data validation, report generation, and labor cost calculation, including the ability to carry out specific activities using appropriate tools and processes to achieve defined business outcomes.

  • Self-awareness: Adapt behavior to suit context and circumstances, reflect on own behavior in a variety of situations, learning from the interactions; request feedback and identifies areas for improvement, and recognize and accept the need to put the overall business needs ahead of their own and can deal with the internal conflict / stress that may generate.
  • Team process: Understand the behavior of other individuals and the effects on the team; resolve conflicts as needed and lead by fostering a climate that is inclusive and where team members feel safe to contribute, collaborate, receive feedback and coaching.
  • Collaboration: Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders by listening and asking questions to better understand others, understand how to influence or negotiate with others to achieve productive outcomes, effectively balance positive interactions with getting the work done whilst balancing confidence and humility to lead.
