Your Impact

  • To enhance site productivity outcomes by recommending improvements through the analysis, program management and delivery of data insights into business improvement initiatives.

As Part Of Our Team You Will

  • Provides data analytics and insights to ensure outcomes of business improvement initiatives are measured and monitored.
  • Identifies internal and external benchmarks for productivity improvement and monitors site and Business Unit (BU) performance against these.
  • Provides recommendations to enhance improvement initiatives, through identifying performance synergies across business improvement initiatives through assessing operational data to pinpoint efficiency gaps.
  • Collaborate with site and project teams on the execution of business improvement initiatives, including providing expertise to define and monitor appropriate performance metrics to identify productivity impacts as a result.
  • Develop reports and distribute information on improvement metrics.
  • Formulate recommendations to enhance process effectiveness, through providing insights to leadership teams based on analysis of performance metrics.
  • Conduct training sessions on process improvements, based on data analysis.
  • Develop and roll out presentations on improvement project outcomes-impacts and learnings.
  • Comply with business improvement standards and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistent improvement processes.

Your Training, Skills And Experience Checklist

Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process), Operations Management, or related field.

Additional Knowledge

  • Foundational understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Theory of Constraints.
  • Working knowledge of mining operations and processes, including drilling & blasting, load & haul, processing, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with key operational KPIs such as availability, utilization, recovery, and unit cost metrics.
  • Understanding of change management concepts and their application in operational environments.
  • Experience or exposure to ERP (e.g., SAP) and operational data systems.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 – 12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in training and facilitation.

Problem Solving Ability

  • Works in established systems and processes.
  • Compares data collected from processes with a known model or system.
  • Imagines how tasks might be completed without direct, physical, hands-on feedback.
  • Solves problems where trial & error may not be sufficient; other methods may be required.
  • Extrapolates patterns to make predictions.
  • Improves work methods using significant data and patterns; determines whether a diagnosis is correct or whether it may occur from another pattern.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to collect, clean, and analyze operational and productivity data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI); basic SQL or scripting knowledge is a plus.
  • Skilled in supporting root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement workshops.
  • Capable of building reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate data-driven insights.
  • Ability to support project implementation, track performance outcomes, and document lessons learned.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with frontline teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated safety awareness and ability to incorporate risk and compliance considerations into improvement activities.
