Job Description

Tullow Oil is offering an exciting opportunity within the Operations Team.  The new position is Senior Integrated Activity Scheduler, which is a 12 Month Contract position based in Accra, Ghana with hybrid working arrangements.

 

Job Purpose

Ensure all Operations non-routine value adding activities, including OPEX, CAPEX and DRILLEX activities, are planned, integrated in the IAP and scheduled appropriately and generate maximum value for the JV partners.

Interface with key stakeholders in delivering the assets plans and performance against approved annual BASELINE asset plans. Consolidate all departmental plans for the monthly 120D IAP meeting, ensuring all activities meet the 120D gate criteria.

Organize and facilitate monthly 120D IAP Planning meeting. Consolidate departmental plans from across the Ghana Business Unit ensuring all interdependencies are clearly indicated. Control, consolidate, QA check and administrate IAP PRIMAVERA system. 2nd in command in the IAP department and takes charge in the absence of the IAP Manager.

 

The following are the key roles and responsibilities of the successful candidate

  • Organise and facilitate the IAP weekly reviews with the Engineering team and submit updated inputs of all the Engineering scopes for the 28D, 120D and 18months plans.
  • Organise and facilitate monthly 120 days Integrated Activities Planning meetings and communicate 120day Approved plans from the Senior Operations Engineer.
  • Develop and update Mini plans reporting on the physical progress of work and POB for key Engineering scopes being executed on the FPSO and the FPSO 500m zone
  • Prepare 28D and 120D KPIs and monthly summaries ahead of the respective meetings.
  • Ensure all activities which are 2 weeks away from entering into the 28Day window from the 120D horizon meet the 28D gate criteria.
  • Consolidate all planned activities in the Integrated Activity Plan system under PRIMAVERA.
  • Liaise with Activity owners to secure offshore readiness, highlighting the requirements for core crew support, scaffolding, Safe habitat, Isolation, inserting, purging, where applicable.
  • Liaise with all Activity owners to secure the readiness / criticality of each activity. With the support of Operations and Activity Owners, identify in the IAP potential Loss of Production and/or with a significant clash or SIMOPS needed to be addressed in the short and mid-term time horizons.
  • Ensure operational constraints and interface constraints are included in the 120 – 28-day Integrated Plans.
  • Provide weekly updates for Tullow activities and visits on the JEAM FPSO and attend the weekly 28day/ 90day meetings.
  • Make site visits to offshore and onshore facilities to familiarize with the people and facilities supported by the IAP department.
  • Prepare and distribute 2 slides update of major activities and associated POB profile.
  • Prepare and distribute daily dashboards during CSV campaigns. Providing progress against plan S-curve, POB tracking, highlighting scopes executed and reporting on any issues or concerns during the campaign.
  • Collate inputs from departments in the Ghana BU on key activities as defined by the Ghana BU IAP procedure and populate same in PRIMAVERA.
  • Ensure all changes made to the plan comply with the IAP management of change process.
  • Frequently review the IAP procedure and ensure compliance by team members and all stakeholders. Propose areas of improvement in the IAP procedure where applicable.
  • Comply with the Tullow HSEQ Code of Conduct, Standards, and Procedures to always protect people and the environment.
  • Key focal person for the PRIMAVERA system administration. Responsible for managing the users, creation of new codes, calendars, layouts. Ensure all team members comply with the PRIMAVERA administration guidelines.
  • Ensure the IAP dashboard and Kanepi plans are updated frequently and holds the latest relevant information.
  • Have a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to Junior Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate standards, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge/Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or tertiary equivalent in Engineering or Planning or a related discipline.

Skills & Experience

  • 10 + years’ experience of offshore Oil and Gas in a related technical role, with substantial years of experience using Primavera.
  • 5+ years’ experience of offshore Oil and Gas planning / scheduling
  • Sound communicator at any level of an organization
  • Have good knowledge of the oil and gas production process and the facilities plant and machinery, ensuring their safe operation and maintenance.
  • Skilful at planning and scheduling operations, maintenance, inspection/corrosion, modification, and project management plans
  • Applied experience in planning and scheduling using Primavera tool and other planning tools.
  • Knowledge of Safety and Operations Management System expectations
  • Ability to manage to tight deadlines and provide operational discipline.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Scheduler, goal setter, service oriented and self-driven
