Job Description
A reputable public service organisation invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill vacant position in the Head Office and its basin offices.
Job Purpose
• To provide technical and operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the water management functions of the commission
Duties / Responsibilities
• Collates data for the formulation of policies
• Implements, monitors and evaluates to programmes and activities of the Directorate
• Develops and updates database on water resources
• Provides inputs for the development and the management of water resources
• Develops and updates database on water resources
• Provides inputs for the development of research proposals
• Leads in the conduct of aquatic ecological surveys
• Develops, implements and reviews pollution control measures of water resources
• Manages the laboratory of the commission
• Prepares the annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate
• Supervises and appraises the performance of subordinate staff
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management, Hydrology, environmental science, water supply and environmental sanitation, chemistry or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
• Membership of a relevant and recognised professional body would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 4 years post bachelor’s degree relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
