• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and transfer pricing strategies within the organization.

Job Role

• Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other applicable taxes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax compliance activities, including gathering necessary financial data, preparing tax provisions, and reviewing tax calculations.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization, providing guidance and recommendations to management as needed.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position and minimize tax liabilities while aligning with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation in compliance with local regulations and international transfer pricing guidelines.
• Conduct transfer pricing analyses to determine arm’s length pricing for intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing regulations and minimizing tax risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement transfer pricing strategies that support business objectives while mitigating transfer pricing risks.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including responding to information requests, preparing documentation, and representing the organization in discussions with tax authorities.
• Work with external advisors and legal counsel as needed to resolve tax disputes and controversies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Implement measures to proactively manage tax risks and minimize the likelihood of tax disputes and assessments.
• Provide tax advisory support and guidance to internal stakeholders on tax matters, including transaction structuring, employee compensation, and international tax issues.
• Stay abreast of emerging tax trends, developments, and best practices in the fintech industry and communicate relevant updates to management and staff.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• Minimum of a Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Chartered Accountant (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) is a must.
• Chartered Institute of Taxation -Ghana membership is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years Tax experience preferably in the Fintech Industry or in a medium to large organization with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
