Job Description


Role Summary

• Reporting to the Assistant IT Manager, the Senior IT Officer would be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance and optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure and systems

Job Responsibilities

Prioritized responsibilities of the Senior IT Officer include the following:

• Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network-related issues
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers to support system upgrades and service-level compliance
• Monitor system performance and implement updates and patches as required
• Support data backup and disaster recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and system availability

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in IT systems management and support
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Relevant professional certifications & membership in professional associations such as CompTIA, CCNA, Microsoft certified systems engineer (MCSE) or related in Ghana or abroad would be an added advantage
• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, networking and systems administration
• Good knowledge of IT security and data protection standards
• Proficiency in IT documentation and reporting tools
