Job Summary
• Oversee all financial operations related to trust operations, settlements, and reconciliations. Leading a team of professionals, including the Managers for Trust Operations and Settlements & Reconciliations, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial transactions in a dynamic mobile money environment. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you drive operational excellence, implement controls, and foster collaboration to support the organization’s financial objectives.

Job Role
Financial Operations Oversight:
• Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including trust operations, settlements, and reconciliations, to ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
• Develop and implement controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations.
• Prepare and present Financial reports, analysis, and insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize financial operations and support the organization’s growth objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancement.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, technology, and legal teams, to align financial operations with business objectives and priorities.
• Communicate effectively with external partners, regulators, and auditors to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Stay abreast of emerging tax trends, developments, and best practices in the fintech industry and communicate relevant updates to management and staff.
Qualification Required & Experience
Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA / Postgraduate Degree is a plus.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant with certification (CPA/ CA/ CMA/ ACCA)
Experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or related roles, with a focus on Fintech or digital finance. At least 5 years must have been in a managerial role.
