Position Overview:
The Air Conditioning Senior Technician plays a pivotal role in the repair and maintenance of air-conditioning equipment at Cold Temperatures. This position involves diagnosing and troubleshooting special service problems, estimating material and labor costs, and ensuring the efficient installation and operation of air-conditioning systems. The Senior Technician is also responsible for training and assisting less experienced colleagues and responding to emergency service calls after regular work hours.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct general repairs and maintenance of air-conditioning equipment, following error codes, instructions, and manuals.
2. Estimate material and labor costs and determine installation, fabrication, and start-up requirements for air-conditioning systems.
3. Install various types of air-conditioners, including high wall mounted, floor mounted, ceiling mounted and others.
4. Train and assist less experienced colleagues in repair and maintenance tasks.
5. Respond to emergency service calls after regular work hours.
6. Complete work orders as assigned and scheduled according to industry and company standards.
7. Locate defective parts and identify causes of equipment problems to effectively resolve issues.

Requirements:
1. HND or equivalent qualification in refrigeration and air-conditioning.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems.
3. Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, crouching, and pushing/pulling objects.
4. Proficiency with manual or power tools, including cutting and drilling machines.
5. Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods.
6. Willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions, including adverse weather.
7. Strong knowledge of repair methods, practices, test instruments, tools, and materials used in servicing refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
8. Understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
9. Familiarity with the mechanical operation of various air conditioning and refrigerating equipment.10. Computer literacy for filing work orders and writing reports.
11. Ability to comprehend complex written and verbal instructions, sketches, and diagrams.
12. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
13. Valid driver & license preferred.
