Job Description
Our client is the leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana. The company now seeks a hands-on Security Supervisor to be based in its Accra Offices, overseeing the day-to-day Operations in Tema.
Key Accountabilities
• Oversee the daily deployment of Security Officers and shift management including ensuring that the required number of contract security officers are at post.
• Promptly and courageously report all security incidents/crime (actual, suspected and attempted) to the Head of Security. Write reports and document all facts and evidence.
• Prepare and disseminate Duty roster to Security Officers, document same in a book. Forward copies of the Duty roster to the Head of Security for review and for approval.
• Conduct on- The- Job training for all newly employed Security officers and provide site orientations/tour for visitors and new staff.
• Demand work perfection from individual team members and instill discipline to the team.
• Conduct daily inner and outer perimeter patrols to inspect security officers, work procedures, storage areas etc. for security breaches.
• Conduct and/or supervise search and seizure for finished products, raw materials, tools, scrap materials including any company property from unlawful removal at the site.
• Conduct patrols and spot checks, arrest the perpetrator(s) of crime.
• Take proactive steps to provide a safe and secure working environment for staff and visitors.
• Lead in emergency evacuation of staff and visitors.
• Provide specialized security, monitor CCTV Surveillance and alarm systems and restricted access areas such as inventory areas, cold/storage rooms, employee files and confidential records.
• Keep all controlled access keys safe, secure and confidential.
• Perform other tasks when assigned.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Security and Safety or any related discipline.
• Certification in CCTV Training or Crime Prevention is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
