Job Description
Matrix AgroScience, a unit of Matrix Innovation, is one of the leading Importers and Distributors of environmentally friendly Agro Chemicals and High-quality Agricultural Implements in Ghana and is currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of Sales Agronomist. The successful Agronomy Sales Representative will have responsibility for supporting sales of the various products of the company across the country into the agriculture market, ensuring an efficient and timely delivery of our products. You will work with agrochemical input dealers across the country, farmers/farmer groups, and other stakeholders along the supply chain of the agrochemical industry in Ghana to promote the proper use of products and disposal of by-products.
Attributes and Basic Function
• The sales agronomist must be proactive, agile, business-smart, innovative, ambitious, energetic, and ready to learn new concepts quickly.
• Sales Agronomists will be at the front of the company on the market with the sole mandate of negotiating and developing mutually beneficial sales deals with clients. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales, forging strong relationships with clients, and offering technical support on efficient and environmentally sustainable usage of our products.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Agribusiness/Agricultural Economics with knowledge in Agronomy or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 2+ years of Sales, Business Development, Business operations, or related experience
• Proven work experience as an agronomy Sales Representative
Additional Qualifications
• Agronomy sales experience preferred
• Strong negotiation skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent customer service and prospecting skills
• Highly motivated, target-driven with a proven track record to meet and exceed sales quotas
• Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships and openness to feedback

• Ability to work independently as well as in in group
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
Responsibilities
• Execute sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase profitability through the implementation of sales, marketing, and consultation processes for products and services.
• Evaluate current customer programs and develop sales and marketing plans to meet business needs while growing the business.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in the agrochemical supply chain to heighten the visibility and impact of sales and improve efficiency and profitability.
• Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create long-term repeat business.
• Identify needs and provide training support to farmers/farmer groups.
• Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids, and proposals to ensure the successful outcome of transactions.
• Work with customers courteously and professionally.
• Service customer complaints and inquiries.
• Lead sales projects and act as a mentor to less experienced sales staff.
• Develop knowledge of multiple products and apply this knowledge in all aspects of the job.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations throughout.

Note:
• A Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record would be an added advantage.
