About HAT AgriTech Ltd

HAT AgriTech Ltd. provides agricultural inputs and extension services to boost crop production and sales for smallholder and commercial farmers. We offer crop protection, mobile plant health clinics, app-based and in-person extension services, and support farmer-based organizations (FBOs) with training in climate-smart agriculture, postharvest management, biochar and composting production.

HAT is implementing a project aimed at transforming agricultural waste into valuable products in Ghana’s Western, Greater Accra, and Northern Regions. Waste such as coconut shells, rice husks, groundnut shells and cocoa pods will be converted into biochar, wood vinegar and biochar-based fertilizers under this project.

Job Summary:

HAT AgriTech Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of the grant project, “Transforming Waste Biomass into Carbon Credits and Climate Resilience.” The successful candidate will oversee project activities across three regions in Ghana, ensuring timely and effective project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall project management leadership, ensuring project objectives are met within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Develop and manage project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate and supervise the work of three Production Managers in 3 different Regions, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and project partners.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, providing regular reports to Executive Management.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the MD.

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a related field (agriculture,
environmental management, or sustainable development).
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects, including experience with budget management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with international donors, NGOs, or private sector companies.
• Knowledge of Ghana’s agricultural sector, environmental policies, and sustainable development initiatives.
