  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of WADPN projects and programmes, including coordinating with partner organisations and stakeholders.
  • Support to conduct research on drug policy issues, human rights, public health, and other relevant topics to inform WADPN’s advocacy efforts and programme development.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
  • Assist in the development of communication materials, such as newsletters, reports, and social media content, to raise awareness about WADPN’s work and engage with stakeholders.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and conferences organised by WADPN, including logistical arrangements and participant coordination.
  • Foster relationships with partner organisations, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and support for WADPN’s mission and goals.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as international relations, public health, social sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in proposal writing, project management, and programme coordination, preferably in the nonprofit/advocacy sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of drug policy issues, human rights, gender, public health, or related fields in the West African context is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French is an asset.
