As an Operations Officer for Donu, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of the business, with a particular focus on partner acquisition, inventory management and delivery mobilisation. This hybrid role combines (work from home) with field visits as required.

The salary for this role ranges between 1000-2000 GHC, based on either part-time or full-time arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  Partner Acquisition:
– Research and Identify prospective suppliers/retailers as partners for Donu.
– Establish partnerships with qualified partners, explain the benefits of collaborating with Donu, and negotiate partnership agreements.
– Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring their satisfaction and ongoing commitment to providing quality produce.

Inventory Management:
– Coordinate with partner suppliers/retailers to ensure product offerings on Donu are available for pickup.
– Regularly update inventory records, track product availability, and communicate any shortages or changes to relevant stakeholders.
– Implement quality control measures, and ensure compliance with food safety standards during purchase and delivery.

  Delivery Partner Management:
– Recruit, train, and onboard delivery drivers/riders to serve as partners for Donu.
– Assign delivery orders to drivers/riders based on their availability, location, and capacity.
– Monitor delivery performance, address any issues or delays, and maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders.

Order Fulfillment:
– Coordinate with suppliers and delivery agents to process and fulfil customer orders promptly.
– Monitor the progress of orders, follow up with producers as needed, and address any order-related concerns.

Operational Efficiency:
– Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies or systems to streamline operations.
– Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on operational metrics.

Requirements:

– Previous experience in operations, supply chain, or a similar role, preferably within the e-commerce or food industry.
– Very resourceful, able to work efficiently, exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to find creative solutions to operational challenges within limited resources.
– Self-motivated, can prioritize tasks, multitask, adapt to changing circumstances and work independently.
– Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers, and drivers.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
– Proficient in using technology, including apps, software, and online platforms.
– Flexibility to work from home and conduct field visits when necessary.
– Knowledge of local food markets, agricultural practices, and logistics is a plus.
