Job Summary

• To provide legal advice to the company to support the operations of the company in compliance with the relevant laws of Ghana

Job Responsibilities

• Provide input in the formulation of policies of the company
• Provide legal advice on matters relating to the operations of the company
• Represent the company in matters that may be brought before the court of law
• Represent the company before external agencies and departments
• Draft legal documents for the company
• Prepare legal documents for filing at the various courts as directed
• Vet contracts to ensure that the requisite performance bonds (where applicable) and contracts are in order before recommending for signature
• Represent the company and its employees in curt cases/labour related issues as directed
• Supervise investigations activities to facilitate data / information gathering for the prosecution of cases on behalf of the company
• Liaise with external solicitors and update superior on status of the company’s referred cases
• Provide support in the preparation of legal documents to facilitate the purchases and sale of lands and completed estates
• Vet title documents, draft recitals and legal documents (e.g bonds, deeds of assignment, tenancy agreements title deeds, leases, etc) for review/approval and process same in line with prescribed legal processes
• Perform any other duties assigned by your superior

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s of Laws Degree (L.L.B) from an accredited school
• Called to the Ghana Bar, in good standing with seven 7 years of post-call experience, especially in litigation
