Job Description


Seed Co West & Central Africa is a joint-venture between Limagrain and its strategic partner in Africa – Seed Co.

Our aim is to provide farmers in West and Central Africa with the very best seeds for all farmers small or large, whether for subsistence farming or commercial farming. Today we offer the best Corn varieties for White Maize with the Seed Co brand or Yellow Maize with the LG brand. We are committed to advancing agricultural productivity through innovative products and solutions.

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the imports, transportation, storage, and distribution of seeds including exports. This role ensures that our products are delivered to customers efficiently and in optimal condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Processing: Coordinate and track orders from suppliers till delivery to distributors.
Transportation Coordination: Arrange and manage shipment and transportation of seeds, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Supplier Relations: Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best rates and services.
Documentation: Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.
Quality Control: Inspect shipments for quality and resolve any issues that arise during transportation.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints related to logistics.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the agricultural sector. Bilingual working proficiency in English/French is a must.

Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in logistics software/applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Driving proficiency with valid Driver’s Licence
Certifications: Relevant logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.
