Position Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and certified Lifeguard to oversee the safety and well-being of all guests using our hotel swimming pool. The Lifeguard will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities 

Monitor activities in and around the swimming pool to prevent accidents and injuries.

Enforce all pool rules and hotel policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.

Administer first aid, CPR, or emergency care if necessary.

Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of poolside furniture and equipment.

Inspect pool facilities and equipment regularly and report any hazards or maintenance needs.

Provide information and guidance to guests regarding pool usage and safety.

Participate in regular training and emergency drills as required by the hotel.

Qualifications

Valid Lifeguard Certification (Red Cross or equivalent recognized body).

CPR and First Aid Certification (mandatory).

Previous experience as a lifeguard (preferred).

Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physically fit and able to swim proficiently.

Work Conditions

Outdoor pool environment, exposed to sun and varying weather conditions.

Work may include weekends, holidays, and shifts during peak hours.

Candidate must reside in Cape Coast
