Job Description
Groupe Sebastien is a management company for multiple brands across different consumer audiences. We currently manage several brands comprising restaurants, outdoor catering services, and schools.
The Sandbox Beach Club, one of the restaurants managed by Groupe Sebastien, is a state-of-the-art beach resort with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is the first exclusive beach club destination in Ghana, pushing the boundaries of entertainment and lifestyle in Ghana.
We are looking for an experienced and well-trained Lifeguard to join our team. The Lifeguard will be responsible for surveying the waterbodies and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety.
Responsibilities:
The Lifeguard’s core duties involve enforcing swimming rules, keeping track of each swimmer in the water and administering first aid to injured swimmers; it will also include
• Supervising swimming activities and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
• Warning swimmers of improper activities
• Administering first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in distress or danger of drowning and administering CPR if necessary.
• Evaluating conditions for safety and initiating emergency action plan as required.
• Conducting daily inspection of pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
• Cleaning the pool, related facilities and equipment and adding chemicals to the pool.
• Conducting chlorine residual water tests and keeping record of all tests and accidents.
• Instructing or assisting in swimming classes as needed.
• Resolving scheduling conflicts to ensure safe pool environment when competing programs/priorities require use of the facility.
Qualification Required & Experience
REQUIREMENTS
• Swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months of related work experience in a similar or same position
• Certification from a recognized Lifeguard training facility is essential
• Ability to evaluate water conditions to determine any potential dangers or hazards
• Ability to judge and evaluate evolving dynamics of individuals participating in aquatic activities to immediately assess their capabilities and threats to their safety
• Knowledge in providing on-site emergency medical service and CPR
REMUNERATION: Qualified candidate will be paid a monthly salary range of GHS1500 – GHS2000 with other benefits
