Job Description


Qualification Required & Experience

The prospective candidate must have the following:

• Must hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Midwifery
• Must have a minimum of a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Midwifery or any relevant area in Reproductive Health
• Must have practiced as a Midwife for a minimum of 3 years in a setting approved by any of the following
O The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Ghana and under the supervision such as the Christian Health Association of Ghana (GHAG)
O The relevant approving body in any country with proof of accreditation acceptable as credible by the Nursing and Midifery Conducted by the N&MC of Ghana Trained Midwives conducted by the N&MC of Ghana
• Must have teaching experience in classroom or Midwifery setting for a minimum of 2 years
• A Doctoral Degree in a related area in an advantage
• Must have a professional identification number from the Nursing and Midwifery council of Ghana and be is good standing with the N&MC, Foreigh-trained Midwives must be registered to practice in Ghana and possess a license from the N&MC of Ghana to support such status
