Your Impact
- Implement security strategies and deliver technical support to site teams.
As Part Of Our Team You Will
- Adhere to and Implement security strategy & plans.
- Support site security Threat and Risk assessment and Security Vulnerability assessments.
- Facilitate and direct the site security investigation team regarding security breaches, theft, or any suspicious activities within the mining site.
- Guide, organize and train site security officers on security best practices and business requirements.
- Support security system implementation and ensure their efficient usage.
- Deliver technical support for operational teams on risk controls.
- Ensure the security of critical production areas (CPA) remains a priority and manage security accordingly to protect the processes and gold bearing material to include production, sampling, storage, and shipment.
- Ensure compliance with emergency response plans for various security incidents, facilitating guard force involvement with regular drills and simulations.
- Coordinate the acquisition of specialized security resources for special projects and investigations as required.
- Support security investigations and drive compliance to guidelines and best practices.
Your Training, Skills And Experience Checklist
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- A Degree or Professional Diploma in a security or criminal related course.
Additional Knowledge
- Understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
- Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining security, law enforcement and military or an equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.

- Imagines how tasks might be completed without direct, physical, hands-on feedback.
- Solves problems where trial & error may not be sufficient; other methods may be required.

Technical Skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and compliance requirements.
- Ability to compile concise, accurate, and comprehensive shift or incident reports and documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Skills in leading, training, and developing a team of security professionals to ensure adherence to investigation processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with incident management platforms and tools used for dispatching and documenting security incidents and resources.

- The position is located at our Ahafo South mine site.
