Job Description


At Eni, we are looking for an Instrument Automation Specialist within Eni Ghana in Accra, Ghana. You will be supervising a team of specialists carrying out instrumentation maintenance activities according to plan to ensure maximum equipment availability and precision, while respecting all internal maintenance procedures, best practices and safety regulations. You will be responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of instrumentation maintenance activities execution, as well as the quality and technical integrity of the maintenance work performed.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed scheduling of instrumentation maintenance activities according to the maintenance plan, workload, manpower availability, company procedures and priorities set by the maintenance operation superintendent.
  • Check the availability of materials and ensure their withdrawal.
  • Allocate work orders to executors.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians.
  • Assure the application of the relevant HSEQ procedures during maintenance work.
  • Endorse work feedback and close out work orders in the maintenance database.
  • Check and supervise the instrument works carried out by contractors and accept them upon completion.
  • Draft improvement maintenance proposals.
  • Prepare specifications for the procurement of spare parts and review the technical proposals.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Technical diploma.
  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Considerable instrumentation maintenance experience.
  • Professional training in Instrumentation & Control Technology, Electrical & Electronics Technology, Process Control & Instrumentation, and maintenance professional courses.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Production Operations: Maintenance Management, Predictive Maintenance, Operations/Maintenance Advising.
  • Maintenance Operations: Telecommunication Maintenance, Instrumentation Maintenance, Troubleshooting Techniques Knowledge.
  • Maintenance Engineering: CMMS Activities, Maintenance Engineering, Maintenance System Auditing, Maintenance Advising in Project Phase.
  • Compliance: Local/National and International Standards and Codes.
  • Experience with DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, and their integration with field instruments.
  • Ability to analyse technical issues and implement effective maintenance solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, a spirit of enterprise, effective listening and reception abilities, and proficiency in staff management and development.
