Job Description


Position: Human Resource Officer (School-based)
Location: East Legon Hills, Greater Accra Region, Ghana

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with school and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate staff records and ensure compliance with labour laws and school policies
  • Coordinate staff performance management, appraisals, and professional development programs
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Support payroll administration and staff welfare initiatives
  • Advise school leadership on HR best practices and workforce planning
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in HR, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and strong administrative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
