A reputable rural Bank in the Ashanti Region is seeking to employ qualified persons to fill the position of: Human Resource Officer
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or organisational development or related discipline
• Post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management or organisational Development or professional qualification in HR will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in Human Resource/People Management
Job Skills
• Must be resolute firm and fair
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written, orally and with staff
• Must have good understanding of labour laws
• Must have good presentation skills
• Ability to train/facilitate training programs and educate/sensitize staff
• Conversant with best practices in Human Resources Management
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Tools
Job Duties
• Assist in the provision of leadership, direction and advise to management on HR issues
• Assist in planning co-coordinating and supervising HR activities such as recruitment, orientation, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee health and well-being etc
• Assist in driving staff discipline and effective cultural changes that are required to ensure successful achievement of organizational objectives
• Assist in the development of staff performance contracts and other performance management activities, such as preparation of appraisal, monitoring and evaluation reports of staff
• Assist in preparation of periodic reports on HR function within the bank to management and board
• Assist the HR Manager in ensuring that the Bank’s policies, rules and regulations are well communicated and made available to staff
• Ensure effective compliance with the HR policy of the bank
• Help in analyzing staff monthly attendance register to generate reports on punctuality, absenteeism and lateness
• Ensure regular update of HR database in the HR software
• Assist the Human Resource (HR) Manager in the performance of other HR function of the bank
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or board
