Job Description


The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include but not limited to monthly payroll processing, recruitment, staffing, training and development.

General Duties:

Process monthly payroll and benefits in an accurate and timely manner

Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory payments and pension contributions

Administer HR policies and procedures, in line with company HR standards and within the dictates of the relevant labor laws, rules and regulations;

Provide advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment in line with the company’s recruitment process

Liaise with shared service centre on the maintenance of all job position on the global platform

Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.

Prepares correspondence, process mails and create new employee’s files

Ensure all documents and records are filed chronologically

Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans

Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance reviews and IDP’s

Assist line managers to identify training needs and development opportunities

Organize staff training sessions, workshops and other activities

Monitor daily attendance and investigate and understand causes of staff absences

Ensure canteen services are provided under good and hygienic condition

Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.

Provide advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment

Prepare notices, place advert for vacant staff positions and schedule interviews for shortlisted applicants.

Conduct reference checks on successful candidates

Explain all provisions of HR policies to employees and help promote workplace safety.

Provide advice and assistance to staff and management on pay and benefits systems

Responsibility For Company Asset

Has responsibility for maintenance of confidential employee and company information

Educational Qualification

First degree in Human Resources or related courses.Professional certification in HR will be an added advantage

Previous Experience

At least a proven track record of 3 years’ experience in similar role

Technical Skills

Good knowledge and experience in talent management

Proven experience in payroll management

Knowledge of the relevant Ghanaian Labor Laws, rules and regulations;

Good interviewing skills

Skills in use of MS Office and HRIS

Knowledge of Ghana income tax and pension regulations

Fluent in French

Personality

Excellent team player

Analytical and problem solving skills

High Level of confidentiality and integrity

Strong verbal and written communication(English and French)

High level of assertiveness

Ability to work with or without supervision
