Job Description


Role Summary

• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of the IT Department would be responsible for leading and managing the organization’s IT Department

Job Responsibilities

Prioritised responsibilities of the Head, IT Department including the following:

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the IT department that aligns with the overall IT and business strategies of the organization
• Develop and manage the Department’s budget ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately for projects and operational needs while monitoring expenditure
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services
• Define/develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and IT security policies for the Department and regularly monitor and report on the department’s performance against these metrics. Use data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years progressive working experience of which at least 6 years must be in a management level
• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, communication studies or its equivalent
• Relevant professional certifications & membership in professional associations in Ghana or abroad would be an added advantage
