Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) LTD is seeking to recruit Head, IT Audit.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a dynamic and highly competent professional to lead our IT audit function. The Head of IT Audit will be responsible for providing independent assurance n the effectives of the bank’s information systems, cybersecurity controls and IT governance frameworks
• This role is critical to safeguarding the bank’s digital infrastructure and ensuring compliance wit regulatory and internal standards

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a risk-based IT audit plan aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls, cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols
• Conduct audits of core banking systems, digital platforms and third-party service providers
• Provide timely and actionable recommendations to enhance IT governance and risk management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory directives and international best practices

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, cybersecurity or related field
• A recognized professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in IT audit or information security within a regulated financial institution

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and interface effectively with senior management
• Experience with emerging technologies, fintech platforms and digital transformation initiatives is an advantage
