Title: Tropical Health is seeking a Grants Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEL) Consultant with experience supporting grant management for Ghana Somubi Dwumadie
Location: Accra, Ghana
Consultancy Contract: 30 days until November 2023 starting asap
Description: Tropical Health is seeking an organised and committed consultant with technical expertise supporting multi stakeholder programmes and specifically grantees and other stakeholders, with MEL. The applicant should be experienced with team and collaborative working, and data analysis and reporting having supported complex programmes and specifically grants management.
The suitable candidate will ensure robust MEL procedures are in place for the effective continuation and closure for the programme’s grantees, including self-evaluation activities and capacity building for learning. Technical support will be provided to grantees with data collection tools, analysis and reporting to ensure quality data is available in a timely fashion for programme reporting, decision making and effective project closure. The consultant will also provide technical assistance for other end of project MEL grantee activities which will include tasks such as monitoring visits, data verification, programme reports, production of case studies; aligning to the wider end of programme evaluation and closure activities as needed.
The consultant must be able to work in the Accra based programme office and travel to the field to support grantees.
The consultancy will start as soon as possible and finish at the end of November 2023 with 30 days to be used on a call down basis.
Required skills
- Experience supporting multi stakeholder programmes and specifically grantees and other stakeholders, with MEL.
- Working with grantees and ensuring robust MEL procedures are in place, for self evaluations, with quality assurance and capacity building
- Experience of collating, consolidating and analysis of grantee reports, learning and data.
- Able to work in the Accra based office and have short trips to field sites.
