Job Description
Responsibilities
• Maximizes cash flow performance of the Hotel, principally through the efficient management of working capital. Ensure sure handling of all cash and deposits at the resort
• Enforces documents and establishes adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets
• Ensures that expenditure is incurred within the constraints of the Hotel’s Annual Plan and approved capital expenditures authorization’s, in accordance with Head Office Policies & proccedures or established by the General Manager Head Office and Managing Director of this delegate
• Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides business analysis, interpretations and projections to management as and when required
• Provide administrative support to the management with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance
• Identified accounting team with potential for promotion and/or transfer within the company
• Assumes managerial responsibility for the selection, recruitment and termination of employment of all accounting personnel. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations
• Obtains appropriate legal counsel regarding the business practices of the Hotel and maintains an awareness of local laws, rules and regulation. Participates in local recognised professional and industry organisations. Maintains professional and technical competence
• Controls capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval
• Maintains appropriate list of delegation of authority for resort management
• Directs monthly inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with required procedures
• Reviews in hotel selling prices and recommends changes to the General Manager
• Implements and maintain acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by Head Office Policies & Procedures, generally accepted accounting practices and as effected by local condition
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by General Manager – Finance Head Office or the General Manager
Qualification Required & Experience
• International Accounting Qualification, i.e, ACCA / Chartered Accountant / ICAEW / CPA from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior financial management position in a financial institution or public accounting
• Hotel/Report and Tourism educational & training background is preferred
• Good command of English, both oral & written
• Good leadership and managerial skills, energetic person
• Good appearance and grooming, self-confidence & mature
• Outgoing personality and good attitude
• Able to work any situation & under pressure
• Possess good communication, creative, dynamic, innovative & service oriented
