Job Description
The organization is seeking highly motivated professionals for the position: Finance Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Accounts Payable: Process and pay invoices promptly. Reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Accounts Receivables: Invoice customers and track payments received, follow up on overdue payments, resolve billing issues, reconcile all bank accounts, and maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
• General Ledger Accounting: Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of
journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledgers, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance through variance analyses
• Participate in special projects as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Partly or fully qualified with ICAG or ACCA
