As the Field Specialist – Subsea Production Systems you will provide technical onsite direction and assistance to the customer in the Operation, Maintenance, Repair and Installation of Wellheads, X-trees and other Baker Hughes related equipment within the employee’s discipline

As a Field Specialist – Subsea production systems, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing work at the a field site, providing quality service to the customer
  • Providing the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
  • Operating, Installing or maintenance of company and customer equipment (Wellheads, Valves, Production trees, Chokes, etc.)
  • Acting as the primary focal point within the Subsea Services & Offshore Nigeria on all quality issues
  • Leading/ assisting in the installation of BH equipment, overhaul and maintenance of Wellheads, X-trees, and other related equipment
  • Knowing in-depth design methodologies and practices of subsea components with a specific focus on Tree design.
  • Coordinating the clean-up, repair, and equipment preparation for the next job.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent level of education
  • Have experience in subsea control systems.
  • Have expertise in Subsea Tree / Wellhead; Topside and Subsea Production Controls Systems; Subsea Distribution Systems; Subsea Structure & Connection System
  • Be a natural, proactive communicator with good customer service skills
  • Have 6 years experience on Subsea/Surface Wellhead and Production Equipment
  • Have a Mechanical / Hydraulic apprenticeship with significant offshore experience in a Surface / Subsea environment
  • Be a collaborator with business partners, exhibiting sound interpersonal and leadership skills.
