Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and community-oriented Field Officer to work closely with our cooperatives. The successful candidate shall be responsible for coordinating field activities, providing support and training to cooperative members, and ensuring the successful implementation of the company’s programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and women cooperatives, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Conduct field visits to monitor activities, assess progress, and provide guidance to cooperative members.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions on best practices, financial literacy and fair trade for women cooperatives.
- Assist cooperatives in improving productivity, market access, and sustainability of their projects.
- Collect and analyze data on cooperative performance, challenges, and opportunities, and report findings to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and agreed-upon standards.
- Identify challenges faced by cooperatives and propose practical solutions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on field activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Any other duties as requested by senior officer or management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Rural Development, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fieldwork, community development, or working with cooperatives.
- Experience working with women’s empowerment initiatives is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of cooperative structures, financial literacy, and economic development programs.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently to rural and peri-urban areas.
- Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data collection tools.
