An Agro-processing Company in the Adansi North District in the Ashanti Region requires the services of a resident Farm Supervisor to perform day to day operations on the Company’s oil palm plantation.

The Farm Supervisor should have a sound understanding of record keeping essentially. He/she should be highly motivated with good communication and planning and reporting skills, as well as adequate IT skills.

He/she is required to be flexible in terms of the total hours worked to meet the demands of the role. The candidate should be a goal getter and should be able to work under occasional strenuous conditions.

The candidate must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Assist in planning annual production targets from planting, weeding, spraying, pruning, and harvesting produce on the Plantation.

b) Collection and analysis of production data to ensure sustainability and profitability of the Plantation.

c) Assist in monitoring the health of the seedlings and trees and treating them when appropriate.

d)Prepare periodic progress and management reports for the Executive Management Team.

e) Assist in planning and implementing measures to avoid losses.

f) Keep and maintain proper farm records.

g) Plan and implement general farm maintenance tasks.

Qualification/ Experience

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must possess the following:

a. Must have a minimum of diploma from an agricultural college or a degree in agriculture related discipline.

b. A good knowledge of Microsoft tools as well as adequate skills in Agric management and analysis will be an advantage.

c. A minimum of 5 years in farm supervision
