Job Summary
To support Head of Ecosystem Banking in implementing Ecosystem strategy and delivering agreed financial and non-financial KPIs.
Work closely with relationship managers and product teams to scope opportunities and develop and implement tailored solutions for respective Ecosystems.
This role provides a unique opportunity to combine Deep Client Insights, Emerging Technology and differentiated Fintech partnerships to enhance the value we deliver in supporting the successful delivery of partnership programmes
Job Description
ESD/Ecosystem Banking Programme Sales and Relationship Management/Implementation & Monitoring
Outputs to deliver this accountability:60%
- Work with the Head of ESD/Ecosystem Ghana to formulate and implement robust ESD/Ecosystem Programme that meet the needs of Corporate and Public Sector clients, service the financial and business development support needs of our clients while at the same time managing the risk of the bank.
- Work with relationship managers and other stakeholders to Identify, analyze and scope ecosystem opportunities across various industries from a 360º view (Borrow, Invest, Insure, Move and Save)
- Coordinate with strategy department to define value chain KPIs and performance targets and develop revenue sharing or shadow P&L mechanism aligning with business units
- Timely reporting of Ecosystem KPIs to respective forums
- Work with the marketing function in developing effective Go-To-Market strategies for the various products within the assigned ecosystems
- Coordinate product efforts across business units to offer bundled services within specific ecosystems beyond traditional banking
- Develop and implement commercialization strategies for the assigned ecosystems and value chain banking
- Negotiate terms and manage contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
- Work with various business functions to design tailored financial solutions for different ecosystem participants including development of value based pricing mechanisms, focusing on creating innovative solutions with quick adoption of technology-driven solutions and catalyzing utilization of these solutions
- Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and manage communication channels effectively
- Seek out and establish new partnerships that align with organizational goals
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the ecosystem
- Facilitate collaboration between different ecosystem members to drive joint initiatives and projects
- Coordinate with various business units for a unified sales approach within the assigned ecosystem
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions and emerging technologies that may impact the ecosystem
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, agreements and performance metrics
Operational management: (20%)
- Take responsibility for effectively executing and maintaining ESD/Ecosystem Programmes, notably in respect of the following functional areas: Contracting, Project Management, Client On-boarding, Business Development Support, Banking and Lending, and Post-Deal Implementation To deliver on the below
To deliver on the above
- Develop strong relationships with a network of internal stakeholders (CIB/Markets, RBB , Coverage, Product, and the Client Service Centre).
- Promptly and professionally attend to all third-party service provider and internal Absa bank stakeholder enquiries, requests or complaints in a manner that maximises relationship management, client retention and risk mitigation.
- Consult coverage teams & trade products on pricing, solutions, issues dealing with product/service performance, business practices
- Consult credit and RCU on applications and structure of the facilities and best practices.
- Provide required report to both country and centre teams within given timelines.
- Follow end-to-end the Enterprise & Supply Chain Development (ESD) product procedures ensuring new applications are properly authorized.
- Ensure colleague and all other stakeholders’ trainings are conducted to ensure in-depth understanding of the Enterprise & Supply Chain Development (ESD) product.
- Liaise with RMs/KYC/Compliance teams for timely opening of client accounts and draw down of facilities
Leadership and strategy development 10%
Outputs to deliver this accountability
- Working closely with Head of ESD/Ecosystem Ghana and other key business leadership to contribute effectively to the strategic direction of the Ghana ESD business.
- Research and analyze the local market to understand key business drivers, influences, and competitor activity.
- To support, manage and guide the implementation and management of ESD Programmes, and the rendering of financial and Business Development Support services to SME clients benefiting under those programmes.
- Contribute to the development of the comprehensive ecosystem solution towards making Absa the go-to-bank for Ecosystem banking in Ghana
Qualifications And Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Business, Commerce and Management Studies.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years in sales, relationship management, or agency banking within the financial services sector
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills for interpreting data and developing insights.
- PowerPoint design and data visualization skills
