Job Title: DIAGNOSTIC RADIOGRAPHER
Reports To: Medical Director/Head of Clinic
Department: Oncology
Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time)
Hours: Mondays-Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm (Occasional Weekend/emergency hours may be required)

Job Function and Related Performance Criteria

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be expected to achieve a high standard of performance as a Diagnostic Radiographer, while you deliver on the following broad job requirements. Moreover, you will be required to work in accordance with the codes and relevant guidelines of your professional licensing body.The successful candidate would report to theClinical Practices Manager.

Duties include:

• Operating the diagnostic imaging equipment at SGMC including the CT and MRI.
• Ensuring an efficient patient flow through the diagnostic imaging procedures at SGMC as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Mastering protocols and procedures necessary for imaging studies and performing prescribed imaging studies according to such protocols
• Implementing routines to ensure correct management of patients; being responsible for booking procedures
• Working closely withthe Radiologist and clinical team in assessing clinical findings of performed studies, and if needed recommending further investigations
• Handling of images from CT/MRI to the Radiologist to enable safe and efficient image reporting
• Ensuring satisfactory service of image reporting to patients
• Continually assisting in quality assurance procedures for the CT and MRI regarding image, quality and other dosimetry parameters

Qualification Required & Experience

• Experience: Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
• The Diagnostic Radiographer must have knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)scanner, the use of Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner preferably SIEMENS and be good with cannulation.
• Education: Degree, Diagnostic Radiography of an approved University.
• License/Certification: Certified Diagnostic Radiographer by the Ghana Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC) or temporary certification for recent graduates, as well as a member of the Ghana society of Radiographers (GSR).
• Candidate must be ready to learn and familiarize themselves with working in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to work in a team

Renumeration:

• Above-market average, dependent on experience
