Job Description
Key Responsibilities are as follows:
- Corporate Client Relationship Management: Identify and build strong relationships with corporate clients as the key contact. Ensuring clients understand and are satisfied with their pension solutions whiles reviewing regularly and recommending improvements based on their needs.
- Business Development and Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the corporate client portfolio by developing strategies, presenting pension solutions to key decision-makers and collaborating with marketing and sales teams on tailored pitches and proposals.
- Customizing Pension Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to create customized pension solutions that meet corporate clients’ needs and provide expert advice on pension scheme structures such as Tier 2 and Tier 3 options. 4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to provide a seamless experience for corporate clients by ensuring compliance with NPRA guidelines, legal standards, and effectively communicating fund performance. CONFIDENTIAL Executive Summary Old Mutual Pensions Trust offers fund administration and trustee services to individuals and corporations in Ghana. The services provided include mandatory occupational pension schemes (tier 2), voluntary provident fund schemes (tier 3), fund administration for stand-alone schemes, and individual pension schemes. This role requires an in-depth understanding of Ghana’s pension schemes, including the three-tier pension system, as well as regulatory frameworks such as the National Pensions Act (Act 766). Position Overview: The Corporate Relationship Manager (CRM) plays a strategic role in managing and nurturing relationships with corporate clients who administer pension schemes for their employees as well as training, nurturing and mentoring new relationship managers. The CRM is responsible for driving growth through the acquisition of corporate pension clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, and acting as a trusted advisor to employers on pension-related matters. This role involves collaborating with internal teams such as sales, compliance and finance & portfolio units to provide tailored pension solutions that meet the unique needs of corporate clients in line with regulatory frameworks like the National Pensions Act of Ghana (Act 766). In-depth knowledge of Ghana’s pension system, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 pension plans, is a prerequisite for the Corporate Relationship Manager, as is the ability to explain to corporate clients the advantages of these plans. Education and Client Engagement: Organize and lead pension workshops and trainings, continuously educate clients on pension contributions and regulations, and maintain high engagement through regular updates on pension performance and industry changes.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all pension offerings and client interactions comply with NPRA regulations and legal requirements, manage risks with compliance and legal teams, and keep clients informed of regulatory changes. 7. Key Account Management: Act as the key relationship manager for key corporate accounts by providing personalized service. Also lead in contract renewal negotiations.
Provides specialist knowledge and executes account development strategies and sales business plans in order to achieve medium-sized sales targets.
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Information and Business Advice
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.
Document Preparation
Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication.
Insights and Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
Develop and implement a relationship management plan for existing customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues. Collect feedback from identified customers or customer segments to ensure their needs are met, providing themes, summary analyses, and recommendations for changes based on customer input.
Financial Advice
Handle the financial advice process within a specific client segment, ensuring alignment with their goals and values.
Sales
Sell simple products and services directly to customers while following standard protocols. May also involve providing back-office support to a sales team.
Operational Compliance
Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization’s policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
