Salary Range Gross monthly 3,000 to 4,500 GHS commensurate with experience

Position Summary

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting the company’s growth strategies. The role involves researching market trends, developing business proposals, and assisting in implementing strategies to expand the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the market penetration of all and any new product for the business
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through effective networking, thorough market research, and strategic client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of business proposals, presentations, and pitches for potential clients.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform business growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to align business strategies with organizational goals.
  • Track, monitor, and report on business development activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with clients under the guidance of senior management.
  • Represent the company at meetings, conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of market research, sales processes, and business growth strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

Measure of Success

  • Increase in revenue through the successful sale of old and new products.
  • Improvement in customer retention and loyalty metrics.
  • Positive impact on revenue through improved customer insights.
  • Successful implementation and effectiveness of recommendations based on customer insights.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
