ROLE SUMMARY

The Automobile Workshop Supervisor will plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the efficient operations of all workshop activities within the resort.

The successful candidate will oversee both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manage workshop resources, supervise technical personnel, and ensure that all repair and maintenance works are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning, organizing, and supervising daily workshop operations.
• Allocating repair and maintenance jobs to technicians and mechanics based on skills and workload.
• Monitoring work progress and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with company and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing complex vehicle faults and providing technical guidance to workshop personnel.
• Monitoring stock levels of spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables.
• Coordinating the procurement of spare parts and materials when required.
• Ensuring workshop equipment and tools are properly maintained and serviced.
• Maintaining accurate service, maintenance, and repair records.
• Preparing workshop reports and performance statistics for management.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
• Promoting the safe use of workshop equipment, machinery, and tools.
• Investigating and reporting workplace accidents, incidents, and safety concerns.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within workshop operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must possess:

• Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in automobile repair and maintenance.
• Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fuel and electric vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Good understanding of workshop operations and management practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in workshop management software and basic computer applications.
