Position Description
We are looking for a motivated and analytical Fund Management Associate to join our team. This role is central to our commitment to managing investment portfolios with a keen focus on achieving optimal returns while managing risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of client funds, maintaining existing relationships and also responsible for aggressively grow the company’s Assets Under Management. Ability to work independently and in a changing environment is essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Managing existing client relationships and business development work for new clients to grow assets under management
- Assist in the management of client investment portfolios, ensuring they meet their specified investment goals and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial due diligence and analysis on potential investment opportunities
- Liaising with market dealers and traders for the purchase and sale of securities
- Liaising with discount houses, deposit-taking Institutions for the placement of funds
- Preparation of financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors on specific investments and potential opportunities
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance, and adjust strategies as necessary to align with market conditions.
- Participate in research initiatives to identify market trends and investment opportunities.
- Ensuring that all investment compliance regulations are met
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree or CFA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund management, investment analysis, or a related financial field with proven track record in growing Asset under Management
- Mandatory Qualification: Completion of the Ghana Securities Industry Course
Skills
- Excellent analytical skills, including demonstrated knowledge of various fund management practices and products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Robust understanding of the securities market, regulatory environment, and compliance requirements in Ghana.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Strategic and creative thinker with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to represent the interest of the company and clients in meetings with external parties.
- Ability to effectively operate in a team.
